Magenta and gang:
I'm still watching weather; I checked out TM's e-mail as you recommended "The Wall" plus a second set of favorites, longer sets. Sure is enticing, with the addition of seeing everyone from the forum again.
Weather is clear with some flurries in Albany during the lunchhour with clouds looming. Anyone recommend, considering the forecast, which of three routes would be better: 1) Albany to New Haven via Newburgh 3 hr 11 minutes 161 miles, 2) Albany to New Haven via Springfield, MA 2 hr 38 minutes 152 miles, 3) or via Canaan rt 44 through the mountains 2 hr 55 minutes 127 miles?
Is there a meeting before the show? Still undecided. -Scott D

I got the word while I was in the hospital having a colonoscopy this morning. The good news was that my tests were completely normal. The bad news was that The Machine show was canceled. That triggered my post traumatic stress from when the West Coast shows were canceled. Then I had to notify all the people I had gotten tickets for. I hope this doesn't send me spiraling down to the hole in the ground where I hide : )
Let's hope the show gets rescheduled soon!
Who's going to Lupo's in Providence?

Let the count down begin... I feel like I've been waiting for this show forever ha, ha...
Hope the guys left enough in the tank after the Florida tour so they can rock at their return engagement at Toads... kidding - I know we are in for a treat!
Would like to hear ONE SLIP and Interstellar Overdrive, Lucifer Sam... Will need a little pick me up after the competition of the Wall....

No bad weather to contend with in May, so I'll be there. Took my kids to Cooperstown on Mother's Day to give the wife the day off. When we came out of there there was a form of precipitation very close to snow. Closer to snow then sleet. Crazy.
Wall tribute or not I'll be there. Is there a pre-meet? -Bike.

Maxxx wrote: Magenta, just saw that this is now a Wall Tribute Show. Unfortunately gonna have to shelve the Lucifer Sam buddy No worries Maxxx, no matter what gets played this show will be epic! Lets quickly review the history of this show as it's taken some twists and turns... • Last Aug 21st TM played Toads as Joe had to ask a gold circle patron to stop smoking and a drunkard steps on stage to sing Have a Cigar with Joe... Intermission quickly happens.
• Later, an irate bouncer shoves some dude and a rukus ensues hurting a female friend of TM's extended family putting a sour note on the evening...
• Another CT venue is found (to avoid Toads and pacify the NY, CT fans), show scheduled.... The venue never opens...
• After some forum lobbing, a new Toads date is at long last announced, there will be a return!
• The night before the show, an email blast goes out stating this is going to be a Wall show though it was never promoted as such...
• Day of the show, TM is forced to cancel as they are being pummeled with snow as a light rain falls in New Haven. (on a side note, my group had a good time at the c asino, and Ron got a clean bill of health from his Gastro, nice!)
• The show is quickly rescheduled and now promoted as a Wall show.
• Roger Water steals The Machines thunder and announces he will soon tour playing the Wall. Now, as a final twist, The Machine (without announcing) pulls the plug on the Wall (Leaving it for RW) and decides to play Animals and Wish followed by an open set of classics blowing away numerous forum fans and leaving everyone gasping for breadth after the final encore.... Now THAT would be a show for the ages! This would be the ultimate conclusion to the Toads saga... well, it's nice to dream.... No matter what's played this will be a great show and I'll be ready... All fun aside, I'm just real happy TM decided to come back to Toads!

Ha, that was funny my boy. You forgot the part where JA berated us for not beating the bouncer to a pulp. Chris, where are you pal????
The pre-game will be at Kavanaugh's 1166 Chapel St in NH.
Me and mine should be there by 7. Trying for earlier.

Glad you liked that one Maxxx... It was fun post to put that one together.... Let me throw this out as a meet up spot to any and all (at least before 7).... Black Bear Saloon ( http://www.blackbearnh.com) 124 Temple Street New Haven, CT 06510-2603 They have a 5-7 sat happy hour set up for me and 24 of my closest Machine friends... All 16 of their drafts $2.00, All call (including Capt'n and Absolute) $2.00... There is also some 1/2 price deal on the apps which I didn't catch.... The bar appears to be about .8 miles from Toads a short 15 mins by foot... Go to bar, tell them you part of Gary's party you get a bracelet and your good to go.... Anyone interested? I'm not on the hook or anything just a spot for cheap pre-gaming festivities.... It could also be 7-9 but I don't want to cut it too close... If anyone knows for certain TM isn't on before 9 let me know and I'll switch it... any interest?

5-7 Happy hour! I'm there. Sounds like you have influence Magenta. Can you have the bartender play a disc of TM live while we throw some refreshing brew back? If we are starting at 5, I'm gonna need to reserve a parking spot so I can sleep in a van down by the river, Connecticut river that is. Won't try to drive back to Saratoga overnight. Hey anybody catch the finale of Amazing Race featured in San Francisco. In one segement they had to go to the Great American Music Hall. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Floyd with Sid play there, and wasn't the band in the background on Amazing Race playing some Floyd during the segment? It was only for an instant. kudos on trying to work the setlist, but for a utopian non-hit, deep cut only setlist I'd wager it would take a private party show for a milestone event, like your 50th b-day. Or maybe Ron's 500th show Or maybe JA's, umm, 25th b-day.

The Bear works for me. Staying past 7 is probably better than skipping around town. See you there.
