Hi everyone, My name is Bill Darragh and this is my first official post. Thanks Eru, for the reply. That 'message to hell' thing is a little intimidating. Anyway, I first saw The Machine last April when they came to The Rex here in Pittsburgh. I went with my wife and my brother, and although we knew they would be good, we were blown away. I don't know how many times I caught myself shaking my head and silently mouthing 'WOW'. Like everyone else, the rest is history. We got the DVD/CD, and I've been watching over the tour schedule and reading the forum ever since. I finally decided to jump in and 'say hey'. You guys all seem so nice, and into the music. After watching the tour dates for almost a year, I was glad to see TM returnig to The Rex Feb 23rd. This time there will be seven of us, three Machine virgins. We can't wait. I guess since I've gone this far, I may as well put in an 'If I Ruled The World Set List'.

1 Astronomy Domine
2 Astronomy Domine (not a typo, really hope to hear it)
3 Any Colour You Like
4 One Of These Days
5 Atom Heart Mother (maybe some sort of abridged version)
6 Echos
7 Set The Controls
8 Dogs or Pigs (you played Sheep last year, WOW)
9 Popular favorites...Time, Money, Breath, Another Brick
10 Shine On
11 Minimal Wall...Young Lust, Goodbye Blue Sky, Comfortably Numb,
Run Like Hell

Well, that was fun. As you can tell, I lean more toward the earlier 'jamming' songs. Although after seeing you last year, you guys would make three hours of 'Happy Birthday' awesome.
One thing I wanted to mention is a cool site someone told me about. For those of you that don't already know, its called Wolfgangs Vault. Wolfgang was evidently Bill Grahams nickname, so there are all these great shows, mostly from the Fillmores East and West. All you need is an e-mail address, a password and a pair of speakers. They seem to add new concerts every so often, and as of right now there is an awesome Pink Floyd show from 4-29-70. I'll let you see the set list for yourself... 'WOW'.
Well I hope to post a little more often than once a year. Do check out that Wolfgangs Vault...and thanks to The Machine for coming back to Pittsburgh.

Enjoy the music,
Bill

I'm pretty sure that statement sums up the sentiment of most of us who post here, well said!

As for your ideal set list: 1. it's fantastic, and 2. you'll probably get to hear a lot of those songs (maybe not all the same night haha). Though I've never heard of the band playing any form or portion of the Atom Heart Mother suite. Though I'm sure they know how, never even heard a request for that before. But who knows! I'd like to hear Several Species sometime myself.

Gonna go check out this Vault thing
