Anyone here going to the show in NYC on Friday? I'll be there with some first-timers. They have no idea what's about to hit them.
I would love to hear something completely off the wall and obscure. Maybe Saucerful of Secrets. Or Fat Old Sun. Biding My Time is another song I would love to hear the band play one day.
Any one of those three, and I'm a very happy man.

Hey corporal i'll be there and bringing someone who hasn't seen them in close to 16 years same as me.last time i saw them was at the stone pony in asbury park NJ 1992.The only thing i remember was someone requested echoes and they did it and also they did no animals songs.
I'm also hoping for Fat old sun or The Nile song or Astonomy domine which all seem possible and have been in their setlists.
I think if they do enough old stuff and blow me away i might try to get to the New Jersey gig ortley beach surf club.
I've been checking out all the old bootlegs from 67 to 72 this week so super psyched.See you there enjoy the show !.

Yeah, they get to BB's about twice a year. And I was wondering about the tables too. Their site says standing room only for this show, in which case they take the tables out and the capacity is I think 1000. However, I'm pretty sure I remember seeing photos and YouTube vids of BB Kings shows where people were seated at tables and it looked like a much more intimate show. Not that I can make it anyway... there were a couple days there earlier in the week where I thought I might be able to, but no... maybe someday though.

They did a few acoustic shows at BB Kings a while ago, in which there were tables set up on the dance floor, and standing room in the back area by the bar. Other than that exception, it's always been standing room for the Machine.

OH MAN who ever didn't make it really missed a spectacular show.
Something like 3 hours and half !!!.
I'm probably missing a few songs here if anybody else remembers
In the flesh
thin ice
brick in the wall 1
happiest days
brick in the wall 2
Learning to Fly
Listen to me
FAT OLD SUN -the one i requested--THANKS JOE !!--He said he had seen the request on this website and probably why the did set the controls too.
Last Part Of -Saucerfull of Secrets- from the church organ start.
LONG Saucerfull extra JAM
Final cut
pigs on the wing 1
PIGS
end of set 1
Crazy Diamond 1 threw 5 Plus extra long JAM
Set the controls for the Heart of the Sun plus really cool extra jamming
ONE OF THESE DAYS
Wish you were Here
BIKE ----whata shocker i was definately into it
Empty spaces
young lust
comfortably numb
encore
DOGS
man the people i brought were thanking me big time for letting them know
they really blew me away and i said if they did i'm going to Ortley Beach so good chance i'm going even though i'm thinking how they top this show almost impossible.
This band would definately be the ultimate floyd band if they had the full size hammond organ and i think the set the controls spaced out keyboard sounds where missing when they get that too they'll really be unbelievable.I not complaining though we had a really great time and caught a good buzz.it was really great to see them again and i'm wishing i could of got to see them at once a year.See ya's at Ortley.
Thanks alot to the band it was really tight well played.

Very well said albaners.
These guys amaze me every single time. Two songs I requested, Saucerful and Fat Old Sun, were played, and both got incredible reactions from the crowd. Just want to thank the band so much for listening to our requests and following through on them. THANK YOU!
I do remember they played Breathe/Time/Breathe, which included a wonderful Time intro with Todd on the drums. Ryan and Scott were very noticable with their backup vocals; just another example of the band, as a four-piece, going that extra length to recreate the original music to a tee. Learning To Fly was another highlight for me. It's a song that I've really grown to love mainly due to the Machine playing it with such energy (despite my negative feelings about post-Wall Floyd). Pigs was a great way to end the 1st set, with Joe setting the tone with his pig wails, leaving many in the crowd in a state of disbelief.
2nd set started with a great Shine On as usual, and some extra jamming as noted. Set The Controls I thought was actually a little weak. I'm not that crazy about the song in the first place, and I thought it put the crowd in a bit of a sleepy daze. But they more than made up for it with probably the best version of One Of These Days I've ever heard them play, including an extended bass solo from Ryan, which I thought was great. Following up Wish You Were Here with Bike, the quintessential Syd Barrett classic, was very fitting. It was the shortest tune of the night, at just under 3 minutes, but definitely put all us serious Floyd fans in a great mood after the melancholy ode that preceded it. They followed that up with Empty Spaces>What Shall We Do Now>Young Lust, which included some very funky improvisation at the end, led by the wonderful key work of Scott. The whole room was totally into it, swaying to every beat and moving their feet more than any other part of the show. After playing Comfortably Numb, they came back 5 minutes later to a crowd that never stopped clapping or hollering, and ended the night with a stellar rendition of Dogs.
They turned out playing a total of three and a half hours of music, and touched pretty much every era of Pink Floyd, from Syd (Bike), to the pre-Dark Side transition era (Saucerful, One Of These Days, Fat Old Sun, etc.), a touch of Dark Side, some WYWH, two epics from Animals, a good chunk from The Wall, and some later Floyd material as well. The selfish perfectionist in me would've prefered to hear Money or Echoes instead of Final Cut or Talk To Me, but I can't really complain, because I know there are plenty of people who really like the later stuff too. Overall, another amazing experience with a band that continually provides the musical fix I need to survive. Also, I successfully converted a first-timer, and we can't wait for the cruise in July.

To albaners, corporal clegg and Maxxx... thanks for the table/accoustic show info... after thinking about it more, I kinda figured that must be the case.
Also thanks to albaners and corporal clegg for your reviews and the setlist... sounds like it was an awesome show, quite long, with a great setlist.

No problem Vikki.Clegg is right there was a Breath-Time-Breathe reprise in there someone i just can't remember where.Do you remember when they played -Time- Clegg was it first set or second set.
There was a 20 minute break after the first set so it really was closer to 3 hours but still really long show.
I noticed also about 10 feet from the right side of the stage was a microphone hanging from a pipe on the ceiling so possibly someone taped it.We'll have to wait to see if it show up on Dime torrents website which i've seen i think 2 shows already.i have one or 2 but dont remember where they are from i'll look em up someday soon maybe later.
Where's the next show for you vikki ? are you going to ortley beach NJ or too far for you ?
