AWESOME show tonight, guys! Great setlist, amazing musicianship, lots of new and different jams, good sound mix, real pretty lights (could've benefitted from a bit more fog, but I'll bet that was the venue's call), cool video, very nice venue. One of those nights when it all just came together, ya know? Set the Controls was OFF THE HOOK... from the awesome psychedelic intro, straight through all that fantastic and powerful drumming, to the smooth segue into Bring the Boys Back Home... wow, just WOW... Quite possibly the highlight of MY evening, which is saying a lot, considering all the other great songs and jams we got throughout the night. Dogs for instance... loved that guitar work, Joe! But I knew it was gonna be a good night when the first set gave us 3 rarish songs in a row... What Do You Want From Me (I always welcome a Division Bell song), Cymbaline (beautiful as always... love those keys, Scott!), and Two Suns In the Sunset (always gotta add how perfect the Final Cut material always sounds, both musically and vocally). Oh and Todd, you know I have a thing for the Time drum intro, and I gotta say that was pretty damn perfect tonight! Both the Money and the Young Lust jams were fresh and very cool. I was also happy to close out the night with Any Colour>Brain Damage>Eclipse, as I love that sequence (especially Any Colour) and it was right for the mood of the night, as opposed to The Trial sequence or something... good call there. I brought along my good friend Adam... he thoroughly enjoyed the show, commenting numerous times on various songs, jams and magic moments on the way home. Good to see Ron again, wish we would've had more time to hang out, but I was running very last minute, between leaving late, heavy traffic on the Sure-kill, and getting a bit lost right at the end (thank god for GPS and re-routing!). By the way, there were 3 tapers there that I know of, so be watching for those uploads... definitely a show ya'll will wanna hear. --Vik

Well that was fast! I mean I know that's your style and I shouldn't be surprised, and not that it's not appreciated, but aren't you supposed to be sleeping? Happy 3-hour drive home, starting only about an hour from now I think, right? --Vik

Wow, I'm only like 25 minutes into this show, and I can't even jack the volume up too loud because the rest of the house is sleeping like normal people, but this sounds GREAT! All we'd need is a little soundboard mixed into a great audience recording like this, and we'd have perfection! And yeah, I know I should be sleeping too, but I'm still wired from my 44 oz iced coffee I bought for the roadtrip home... and I'm so happy I finally found another Wawa that offers my favorite flavor, Mocha Mint, yum... and bzzzzz......... --Vik

Guess you didnt see the laptop in my backseat last night when you stopped by my car? I was done processing by the time I got over the bridge to Tony Luke's for a cheesesteak. Tracked it out while eating said cheesesteak processed wav>flac on the way to Nicky's house, got back to Nicky's house started upload to Archive, got much needed (but not enough) sleep put on etree and finalized the Archive upload, drove home and slept some more. at least this time I wasnt working on the computer while driving...

I agree Vikki VERY strong version of Set the Controls... Only herd it one time better and it wasn't from Rogers last tour...

Best Set The Controls I ever saw was Aug '08 TM w/ San Diego Symphony. Actually, I'd even say that was the best TM show I ever saw, even though they played DSOTM....I've been oversaturated with that album. 1st hearing it non-stop for my entire life, then seeing PF do it in '94 and Roger doing it too many years to count at this point. However, I DO see the point of having TM do it at their Symphonic shows......but perhaps next symphony go-round I'd like to have them delve into something different.
