great video of Joe on the slide... talk about close
If I was any closer, I would have bumped into the guitar.

Can you always get that close at BB's....
For Machine shows, yes. They do have table and booth seating, but the area in front of the stage is for standing room only. Showcase Live up in Foxborough, MA is a carbon copy of the BB Kings layout.

Will you be joining us at Middletown this month?
Sorry Jen, but no. All these Friday Machine shows I've been attending has eaten up my vacation time. There's no way I can work, drive to a show and back, and go to work on Saturday. I used to be able to do this but I'm too old now to handle those kinds of hours.

And what a great perspective on Joe and his lap steel in that video!
Thanks Viki, but that's the only perspective I've could have gotten being so close to the stage. There wasn't any room to move around. The place was packed! And how about that Ryan in the background? I've never seen him so animated before.

Awesome, awesome pictures, Jack!
Holy cow, those are some GREAT photo's Jack!
awesome photo montage... great video of Joe on the slide
man, those pix are fun!!
Thanks for all the compliments! And just think that it was a last minute decision to bring the camera. I didn't know what photography restrictions BB Kings has. But as it turned out, they didn't say anything about me taking pics.
I took another look at the rest of the photos, and found a few more......

Hmmmm, I'm liking this one a lot more now than when I first looked at it.
It was right after I took this, that I decided to shoot the video. Was my
first time taking video with this camera. Found out that it isn't easy holding
a 5 pound camera steady! Being that close to the stage isn't too good for the
audio portion. I'll have to try using an external mic next time.

It's not too often that I can get a pic of Todd. He's usually too far back, in
the dark, or being blocked by Joe. But tonight, because of the not so deep
stage, he was a lot closer to us. And Joe would move out of my way every
so often. Thanks Joe......

I still have more of these!!!!!! And I don't mean more of Matt!

I just noticed that the date of this show was my 1 year anniversary of joining this forum. I knew from the very minute I first saw The Machine at Toad's Place last October, that I was hooked. I'll never forget that night. Thanks Joe, Todd, Scott, and Ryan too.
