Well the show came and went! Very entertaining show, could/should of been longer. for the money we are all spending on to go see a cover band i was shocked they ended at 10:30 including a 25 minute intermission. The band was good, not great, the lights were cool, no lasers but the set list was great. Im winging it hear so this may not be too accurate so this will give you an idea of what to expect.

Fletcher memorial (just beginning of song, no singing)
In the flesh (just ok)
another brick (just ok)
careful with that axe (just ok)
shine on (well done)
astronomy domine (well done)
sheep (cut out midle of the song, was expecting pig here, never came)
dogs of war (just beginning) into
one of these days (ok, alot of jibberish not needed on bass) back into
dogs of war (to end the song)
young lust (ok also)

Intermission

Complete dark side of the moon (well done a couple of songs sounded off but all in all, very good! Any band that could complete this entire album is very talented)

encore

comfortably numb (ok, could of used more lights, possibly lasers)
run like hell (also ok, this is where the pig comes out)

well thats the set list to the best of my knowledge, im sure its a little off but take is as it is. Very talented band, but the best pink floyd cover band, I think not. Ive seen many PF cover bands and this band is not the best, not even close to being the best. not worth 45 bucks to me to see them. Would I see them again, probably yes but not the best. Go check out The Machine, they will blow your mind away, and for a fraction of the cost also. http://www.themachinelive.com

The band will probably delete this post soon so whomever sees this, do go see them, but when you close your eyes and listen to the music at this bands show, you hear a cover band, not Syd or David or Roger Like you do when you hear The Machine. You get the point.

Ciao all

I bet there not too happy bout that review but, hey I cant lye, Im a pink floyd FREAK you could say. They were OK, couldnt touch The Machine though, couldnt even Fart in The Machines general direction. I LOVE THE MACHINE, and as you all see now, There probably is not another cover band out there like them so do yourselves a favor and cherish every Machine show you go to cause they rule. I just want to see one thing fromt The Machine and when admin or joe or anyone in the band reads this please reply to this please. When the hell are we gonna see a show of the Wall when you build The Wall and lets not do this in poughkeepsie or westbury or in god damn kansas. Lets do it in the big apple guys. Give us a Wall show we will never forget and also, CHARGE US 50 BUCKS CAUSE PEOPLE LIKE ME WILL GO TO SEE IT AND IM SURE EVERYONE ELSE WHO READS THIS WILL GO TO SEE IT ALSO. Im gonna start a petition on your site hear and do me a favor and give your fans a realistic number on signatures its gonna take to make this happen so you could tear down the wall in NYC? You guys rule. Thanks for all the good times and many more to come.

Sunny,

Thank you for posting your experience with another Floyd tribute act. Even though you're a Machine fan, I think you gave a pretty unbiased review. And it was pretty much what I expected to hear actually. So far your post has not been deleted from their forum, but even if it is, I just noticed someone copied & pasted your setlist (including your comments next to each song) on the setlist thread of the tribute band forum on the www.pinkfloydonline.com site. For anyone who isn't familiar, this site has a forum dedicated to all Floyd tribute bands and can be an interesting read.

To the band and anyone else who cares,

I for one couldn't care less about a wall, and especially if it would cause ticket prices to go up. Although I read Floyd did it with cardboard bricks, so it might not be that expensive. But I just think it's a little gimmicky, even when Floyd did it. Plus doesn't it get built between the band and the audience? Seems like a stupid thing to pay to see... I want to see the band! I mean it wouldn't keep me home from a Machine show or anything, but I don't need it... I guess I just connect more with the emotions of the music than the visuals. That said, I do like the light shows and I wish more shows had lasers. Well that's my two cents! :P (Sorry, Sunny!)

Ah, well The Wall was written to be multi-formatted, and the whole stage-thing made sense at the time, but personally I'd rather be able to see the band play, some of the faces and stuff they say while playing are priceless.

And forget NY, Beantown is where it's at!

I've seen the band perform The Wall in its entirety, but would be awesome to see it with props

Back when Floyd built the wall, I do remember thinking it was pretty neat... but then again it was novel at the time, I was heavily into that album at the time, and I was about 12 or 13 years old. Looking back, I now see it as a little gimmicky... and much more so when tribute acts try to recreate it. Unless it's done on a grand scale (like at a stadium or arena) with a grand budget and include all the projections, etc, I'm afraid it would just end up looking hokey. Even if it didn't look hokey, I'd still prefer an unobstructed view of the band playing. Plus (and I could be wrong about this) I just can't imagine the guys getting into it with genuine enthusiasm; they are so much more about the MUSIC... thankfully, as that's surely why they are SO GOOD and have endured for SO LONG. :D

I completely agree - no need to actually build the wall at a Machine show! They've done great shows alrady by showing the film behind them, while they can still fully interact with the fans.

I was one of the fortunate, in my formative years :) to be at one of the Nassau Coliseum shows in 1980 (still the best concert I've ever been to) to be blown away by the show. That can never be duplicated or imitiated, in my opinion, as it was a massive undertaking (that's why they only did it in a few venues worldwide, with only LA & NY in the US). They didn't just build it - Floyd interacted with it! I vivdly remember Roger popping out of the wall in a living room set for Nobody Home, and Gilmour appearing on top of the wall for Comfortably Numb. They had a plane crash part of it during the first half. They projected film on it during the "walled in" 2nd set. They even had a "surrogate band" that played In the Flesh. My show even had a power blip that stopped the prerecorded Trial orchestration in the middle of the song, which momentarily freaked everyone out - we thought it was intentional! What an amazing show!

Now you know why I posted so many photos from the Wall show The Machine did at the Keswick - it brought back lotsa memories from my remaining brain cells :? . You'll notice how The Machne did indeed interact with the movie throughout, as they were frequently looking back at it while playing.

Mike

My perspective should be well known. The less Wall the better for me. I'd rather hear Flaming and Matilda Mother all night.

Mike, thanks for sharing your memories of your Wall show... I've read about that stuff before, and yes Floyd certainly did do it up right. Back then I remember thinking it wasn't fair that they only did it in NY & LA, but I know that's all the budget allowed... I don't know for sure if it's true, but I heard they actually LOST money on that tour due to those elaborate stage shows but the band didn't care, and I remember thinking that was pretty cool.

Those Machine pics from the Wall show looked great! I was at their Wall show at the Whitaker Center in May, and I wish they'd have projected the movie on their big round screen more... they did do it some, but I think they were having technical problems or the place just wasn't big enough or something cuz during the 1st set part of the word "PAUSE" was being projected backwards on the screen. Still an awesome show though!

But generally I agree with Maxxx... Wall music would probably be my last choice of stuff I'd want to hear at a Machine show. Don't get me wrong, I love all Floyd and The Wall is a masterpiece, but I'm bored with it... especially with the "crowd-pleaser" songs that are usually played... I'd choose Vera or Goodbye Blue Sky over them, and those are much shorter too and would allow more time for other albums.
