Jeez, AHF... that show isn't even up on the Whitaker's schedule yet! But yes, I do see it's up on their ticketing site already. I knew there was a show coming in May, just didn't know when... Ross will be thrilled to find out how we're spending our 12th wedding anniversary, hehe. Let's put it this way, I'll be there with or without him, lol... but he usually does the local shows with me. I'll be getting a pair of tickets for flyering/street teaming for the show, and the guestlist seats are usually in the orchestra level box seats, so that's where I'll be. But I'll probably end up buying a bunch more tickets for my son and his friends, probably up in the center mezzanine, or wherever I can find seats by the time they finally get their acts together. But I'm gonna start on them early this time and keep on them, as teenage boys aren't too good at organizing and planning ahead, lol... hell, what am I saying, that's the male species in general, hehe...  :P

Haruumph, Vikki implies that we are not good planners. We are very good planners, it is the thing that comes after the planning - implimenting - that needs tweeking.
For instance, i will plan to attend this concert if i can get Keiths' tickets. See, that was easy. It is the next part that needs 'tweeking'. The part where we real guys have to actually do something, now that might prove a bit of a challenge.

Oh yeah, oj, I forgot we've had this conversation before... and you're right, I stand corrected, lol... :P

Only 3+ more weeks til this Whitaker show... time to bump this thread...

Well I've been bugging my son to get his friends and their funds organized so I can order their tickets, and they're finally getting their acts together for real now... he just told me the count is 12 or 13... YAY! :D

So besides AHF, oj, and Rex, who else is going? And where's the pre-show festivities gonna be?

Everybody please spread the word and remind your Floyd-fan friends about this show... there's still plenty of tickets available, as of now. But The Musical Box is playing there on 5/4, and I imagine a lot of TM tickets will be sold that night.

Yes, please give MuSh his Dogs... if memory serves right, he's been talking about it and asking for it for a LONG time now! Not to mention it's one of my favorites too, hehe. The only two times I've heard it lately was NOT in this area, so Harrisburg is due for it.

It looks as if i will be able to attend this show after all, it was touch and go there for a while. I am curious, whom else amoung the normal heathens will be there?
I was wondering if the boys could favor us with Paintbox>Julia Dream? Actually you could do See Emily Play>Paintbox>Julia Dream; that would be a very nice piece. Just do it LOUD please! Thanks, oj

I'll be there! (duh) :D Actually it'll be me, my husband, my son's gang of 10 (tickets finally purchased on Sun... took out 2 whole rows in the left mezzanine... and mostly all paid for even!), and I have a couple friends who are still possibilities too.

I guess the plan for the pre-show meet-up is the Gingerbread Man, since I haven't heard any other suggestions from anybody. The G-Man is on Market St, same side of the street as the Whitaker, not even 500 feet down the sidewalk... there's a bunch of little white lights on their awning. I plan to be there sometime between 5:00 and 6:00, depending on my husband's work schedule that afternoon, and depending on how many other people I think might show up... the more the merrier!

Only 3 more days... woo-hoo! :D

GREAT SHOW! :o Everything sounded terrific, and what a great setlist! I was especially happy to hear Childhood's End and The Final Cut, both of which were absolutely perfect. I always welcome Goodbye Blue Sky, Sorrow, and Learning To Fly on the setlist... all great songs, and TM does them so well. I was in my glory when we got both Dogs AND 3 Pigs... I mean either one of those pretty much makes the show for me... plus we got POTW too, love it. As always, I really dug the drum into to Time, the Shine On and ABITW jams were awesome, One of These Days was very energetic (love that lap steel work!), and the whole Trial sequence at the encore was good and dramatic. That was probably the most intense rendition of Arnold Layne I've ever heard... wow! And even though Bike isn't one of my favorites, it is a fun song, and I hadn't heard it in a very long time, so that was pretty cool. The guys really looked like they were having fun last night, and Joe was a little more talkative than usual, even attempting a few jokes. :P

I may have mentioned it before, but I love the videos they're using during a few of the songs, especially the one for Shine On (pretty sure that's it). However, I do think they could make better use of Mr Screen during the times when no video is being shown. The light show was very cool as always, although I couldn't help but dream about the laser show we have to look forward to at the Mann Center in July!

Speaking of which... a big thank you to AHF and Gerald for helping me pass out Mann Center flyers after the show! We got em on their way out, while they were still awestruck and wanting more, hehe.

Too bad we were missing half our posse though... we of course lost Keith to Van Halen, we lost oj to a major traffic jam, and Rex couldn't make it either. :( But the good news is my son's gang of 10 all made it, a few of which were newbies, and they all enjoyed the show immensely. :)

Yep, sorry I couldnt make it.....but seeing the Machine or front row center for VH was an easy choice for me.. ...the Machine will still be around in years to come..seeing Eddie & DLR up close and personal was an experience.
