The first set is acoustic Floyd. I would expect to hear a lot of VERY early Floyd and Syd Barrett solo material.
The 2nd set will most likely be a fantastic set of more well-known songs with a few rare ones mixed in.

Have you been to the NorthFork Theater before? The whole seated venue thing kinda bums me out. But is the sound system loud as hell? Thinking about making the trip from the jersey shore out to the island...

If you have never been there, this is a great place to see a show, there are no bad seats in the house.

I am hoping to hear dogs, last time i went they didn't play it.

It must be that I am getting old, but after going to BBKings so often, I appreciate being able to sit at Westbury and enjoy the show. At the last show there, the energy from the audience was even more than at BBKings. They got a standing ovation in the middle of a set, that even Joe commented, was not typical. I guess living closer to Westbury is nice too.

That being said, I still never miss a show at BBKings. I see this band as much as possible.

tab1973,

yeah the bbkings shows are insane. I met you at the last one on dec. 30th. My friend and I are gonna make the trek out to the island for the show friday based on the description you gave of what westbury is like. Are you still going to see David next tuesday?

Also do you think tickets will still be available if we buy them before the show?

Lucifer Sam,
I remember you. That's great that you are coming out to Westbury. Tickets should be available for the Machine show, but if you meant Gilmour, I doubt you'll get tix unless you look on the street and pay an outrageous price.

I will be there on the 4th way up in the high balcony. Have you looked at the setlist he's done so far? It's superb. BTW I will be meeting some Gilmour bloggers at 4:45 across from Radio City in the plaza. We will be going to have some pints before the show. Come meet us if you can. I'll be wearing a Gilmour Academy sweatshirt.

*****Todd, thanks for the post. I haven't been this psyched about a Machine show since the original acoustic show. I know you guys are gonna rock the house and blow everyone's minds. See you there!

Classic! You got the gilmour academy shirt. I've been searching "That's All Folks!". Haven't found it yet. Hope to see you on friday! I am super-psyched about the acoustic set.

At Westbury, I'll be in 2nd row over by Nail, proudly wearing my MAchine t-shirt, or fighting with the crowd to be the first to buy the acoustic CD.

I understand the 1st set is acoustic, and I can't wait....

Any one else who cares to weigh in please do so, I just see them as most active on this particular reply.

Tab, Lucifer & JA (hey JA what's up girl!),

The early stuff and Syd stuff was excellent at BB's first unplugged show. The Syd especially, for obvious reasons.

I am actually hoping the electric set is early stuff to, in keeping with the theme of the evening. I am actually thinking two versions (Unplugged first, then electric in 2nd set) of Astronomy is in order. Sprinkle in some electric Fat Old Sun and Saucerful, and I'm good.

Not likely if there will be a live sax on the stage. Sounds like a lot of Dark Side coming.

See everyone tomorrow..

Maxxx-
