They're the guys who did the reggae version of Dark Side of the Moon (Dub Side of the Moon), as well as Ok Computer by Radiohead. They're playing at BB Kings this Wednesday, and I'm planning on going. Anyone else here going? Anyone see them in the past and care to offer an opinion on what you thought?

I've seen them do Dub Side twice in Los Angeles, I have the Dub Side CD and I have the Dub Side DVD (which was done in Baltimore). I'm a reggae fan and I love what they do with the Floyd material (with the exception of Great Gig, which I don't love very much). I also loved their choice of "Pass the Dutchie" as an encore at one of the gigs! They are wonderful live -- I encourage you to check them out

There's a chance the singer of this group will join us for a song or two at The Hyline show. How does that sound to anyone? I might get in trouble for brining this up. But if a guy in a band is afraid to ruffle feathers, then we're all in trouble

Holy crap!

Don't worry Todd. I promise to keep it on the DL.

By the way...I had a dream the other day that David Gilmour came out as a special guest at the Highline show. If this is at all in the works, just wink.

I'd love to see Easy Star All Stars live! I have both Darkside and OK Computer cover-records and love them!

Of course I love Pink Floyd, Radiohead, and Dub Reggae so that helps!

For about four years, I was in charge of the sound & production at BB King's in NYC. Easy-Star All-Stars perform there. That was def one of my fav shows...go figure. Here's their trippy version of On The Run:

I saw Easy Star at the AllGood Festival 2 years ago and they did set 1 was OK Computer and Set 2 was Dub Side....I have 2 words to describe that show...

Holy
Crap

That show was bad ass...if you have the chance to check their interpetations of any album they recreate...dont pass up the opportunity. Definitely well worth it.

I'd love to see these guys live! But I don't live out there.

Their new album is "Lonely Hearts Dub Band" a remake of the Beatles Sgt. Pepper album!
