had TM running on the computer at work and it played into a tune I generally don't listen to - Young Lust - The 1.29.09 Revolution Hall show, Ft. Lauderdale, FL - I mention this only because there is a nice little Jamb that happens during the band intros... MAN I need a Machine fix...

Hey JA, Magenta, I know what you mean. I stuck the Mann Center concert in the other day, i had forgotten just how good that show was. I think they'll be here in nov too...if i can just get them to do the one about how God likes chainsaws.

 Anyone who wasn't around the boards a couple years ago is probably scratching their head at this comment, lol. Still makes me laugh when I think about it. Here's a link to a 2 1/2 year old thread, for enlightenment:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=541&p=2317#p2317

By the way, it took me a LONG time to find that, because our search feature does not find posts that date back to the old forum... grrr... :? I probably wouldn't have kept at it, except for the fact that I got so caught up reminiscing through old threads... there's so much I'd forgotten! I hope we never lose this forum for any reason... you guys do backup your files or whatever, right? :?:

2 1/2 years! Jeez, been that long? Lucky for me i chose not to get any older, however the rest of you got a lot older. That was a long time ago, Scott had just joined i think.

Yeah, 2 weeks ago marked Scott's 3rd anniversary with the band. Well I don't know the exact date HE considers he joined, with practicing and all, but his first SHOW was Oct 6th, 2006, at Penn's Peak. You never would've guessed it was his first show... I remember it sounded like they'd been playing together forever. I went there feeling skeptical and left feeling relieved and happy, lol. And it's only gotten better from there!

OJ, looks like it's been 2 3/4 years since you joined the forum, and we met shortly after that. While searching for that "chainsaw" thread, I came across the post that made you email me... it was a thread about what other music we all listen to, and there was some discussion of Little Feat among others, and I had listed a BUNCH of bands/artists I listen to. You emailed me saying something like "boy that's quite a list"... I thought you were being a smartass at first, lol (well you ARE a bit of a smartass, haha, but in a good way!). We ended up doing that Little Feat show in Annapolis together, as a kind of "test run" for the roadtrip up to TM's Westbury show, remember? And you've been "herding cats" on occassion ever since, huh? :P

Jenn,
Aren't you going to BB Kings? You always go to those shows. It won't be the same if you're not there.

We go for the xmas shows. I dont think we will be making the one on the 30th. I would love to though... I will have to talk to Chris about it again. It would be nice considering it is a friends Bday show!
