Loudoun Summer Fest, or whatever it is called for those of you who aren't familiar with this place (Belmont)it is an old plantation-like property that used to host steeple chase on its' front 'lawn'. It has since been turned into a country club and where they had steeple chase is where they have the outdoor concerts. I believe the concerts are fully sponsored and all proceeds go to charity. It is a very professional operation with an incredible sound system and lawn seating. I can only imagine what the boys'll do there, i would not miss this show. This sound system is one of the best i have ever heard, as good as the old tube amps and stack of jbl's that we loved back in the 60's.

Great news for the band, a few thousand of us that plan to attend got together for pizzas and we polled for the encore. Guess what! It was unanamous! Everybody wants 'Pigs>Sheep'. What a stroke of luck for the band members, now they don't have to agonize over getting just the 'right' song.
We also discussed a 3rd set, and decided to have that at another time. Since this is the first time we've played at Ashburn we don't want to alarm the yuppies. A 'don't startle to horses on main street' kind of thing. But what can they do, turn on/out the lights - its' an outside show! We'll leave when we damn well want to leave, right?

Maybe we need to start a whos' coming and a meet n greet - theres no bars nothing, this is a big field and vendors around the sides, no cooking/coolers etc, food & refreshments availble from the vendors but this place is all about the music. Later, oj
